About Andee

You've built something great, it shouldn't have to cost you everything.

Hi, I'm Andee Sellman.

For over twenty years I've worked alongside founders and business owners — hard workers who believed in something, backed themselves, and built something real.

And then, slowly, found themselves trapped inside what they built.

The passion that launched the business gets buried under operational fires, team politics and the kind of decision fatigue that follows you home and sits at the dinner table.

The business grows, but sadly the person shrinks.

I know this pattern well — because for a long time, rest was the last thing I allowed myself. I built my identity around being the one who never stopped. And it cost me.

What I found on the other side changed how I work, and how I help others work.

The Long Way to the Simple Truth

As my career progressed, I became the person who filled every moment with activity. Busyness felt like proof I was serious. Rest felt like a luxury I hadn't earned yet.

It took a season of slow mornings by a local creek to begin unravelling this. Three months of watching the water move — no agenda, no output, just presence.

Rushing wasn't making me more effective. It was making me less myself. The clarity I'd been chasing in activity was waiting in stillness.

"Rest isn't a reward you earn. It's the foundation you build on."

What I Do

An advisor for business owners running on empty.

Too many business owners are stuck in what I call Profitless Prosperity — money coming in, money going out, nothing accumulating. Revenue grows, but margin, time, and energy stay flat.

The structural fix is a quarterly rhythm: look back at what the numbers and actions actually produced, then look forward using the 3 Margin Framework — financial margin, time margin, and energy margin. Lock in the big rocks before the urgent crowds them out.

You don't have to choose between results for your business and your health and family time. That's a false trade-off — and I'll show you why.

Rest & Rhythm

Rest isn't a reward.
It's a commitment.

At the close of every 3 Months Forward session, we make one final commitment — not to the business, but to the person running it. It's a personal rhythm commitment: a rest practice the owner will protect in the coming quarter, placed deliberately above the next urgent task.

Most owners have tried rest before. The problem isn't motivation — it's priority. When rest sits below everything else on the list, it never gets its turn. The habit never takes root because it was never given protected ground to grow in.

My own anchor is a morning walk — a simple practice that, for a long time, I told myself I didn't have time for.

"Each day, before the inbox opens and the decisions begin, I walk. It's where I think most clearly, reconnect with what actually matters, and return to myself."

Rest & Rhythm is Andee's dedicated practice for building sustainable personal rhythms alongside business strategy. If this resonates, you're welcome to explore it.
